Today (June 11), voters from Southington, Wolcott, Waterbury, Prospect, Bethany, Wallingford, Meriden, Middlefield and Middletown will have a rare opportunity to meet and greet Democratic candidates from their district at a “Pints and Politics” event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kinsmen Brewing, located on 409 Canal Street in the Milldale section of Southington on the linear trail.
The event is sponsored by the Cheshire Democratic Town Committee with proceeds to support the work of the Cheshire Democratic Party. PINTS AND POLITICS FLYER -- https://bit.ly/2sVwAri Candidates who have committed to attend are Jahana Hayes, Mary Glassman, Secretary of State Denise Merrill, State Rep. William Tong, Chris Mattei, Dan Fontaine, Vickie Nardello, Anne Harrigan, Mary Abrams and Sen. Paul Doyle. All Democratic candidates for offices that represent Cheshire will be specifically invited to make an appearance. Since Cheshire shares some elected representatives with Southington, Wolcott, Waterbury, Prospect, Bethany, Wallingford, Meriden, Middlefield and Middletown, it is hoped that interested voters from those towns will also join in the festivities. Anyone interested in attending is asked to make a reservation at www.cheshiredem.org but will be welcomed at the door. The cost of $25 per person covers pizza and salad, and attendees may then purchase their beverages of choice. For more information, contact the CDTC via the www.cheshiredem.org website or call Pat at 203-271-0561.
