The Cheshire, Connecticut Democratic Town Committee

The Cheshire Democratic Town Committee strives to build a better Cheshire by assisting local Democrats who want to run for office, serve as appointed town Board and Commission members, or work on campaigns for town, state, and federal candidates. We believe in preparing for a better future through careful planning and hard work. We are committed to the continued growth of Cheshire as one of the best places in the country to live, work and raise a family. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Cheshire Senior Center unless conditions warrant a virtual meeting. All registered Democrats are welcome to attend. The overlooked benefits of high gas prices

The following Letter to the Editor from CDTC member Ron Gagliardi was published in the New Haven Register on May 7, 2026.

To the editor,
I'd like to thank President Trump for single-handedly declaring war on Iran, forcing gasoline prices to rapidly climb over $4 per gallon! He has basically placed "Empty Your Wallets to Buy Gas!" signs on every gas stations' price signage nationwide. Opponents of those who support him could never have afforded to advertise their displeasure with his policies on "Don't Support Trump's Hands in Your Wallets!" signs near every gas station. Trump's $4-plus numbers per gallon are shouting our opposition for us...every day...to every person who passes by.

Jim Jinks Kickoff - Feb. 5, 2026

Cheshire Democrats gathered on Feb. 5 for a campaign kickoff for Jim Jinks, who is running for the 13th State Senate district. Jim has served on the Cheshire Town Council since 2019 and is now running for the state senate district that includes Cheshire, Meriden, Middletown, and Middlefield.
