- Enriching open spaces and parks: Fiona will advocate for a detailed plan that protects our parks, trails and green spaces, while proving diverse and accessible recreational opportunities for residents of all ages in our community.
- Quality education and schools: Cheshire is well known for its great school system, but we must address our aging infrastructure that affects our future attractiveness to families and businesses and the prosperity of our community.
- Sustainable solutions: In supporting renewable energy and more efficient waste management, we will ensure a brighter, cleaner and more sustainable future that preserves the beauty of our town.

Lynn Alvey Dawson - Town Council At-Large
Lynn has lived in Cheshire since 1994. Her three children attended Cheshire Public Schools. For 12 years she was an active member of the Highland School PTA, coordinating fundraisers and actively supporting the school.
In 1983 Lynn graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science from the School of Education, and in 1988 she graduated cum laude from Suffolk University with a Juris Doctor degree. In 1996 Lynn opened a small law practice in Cheshire. From 1996 until 2012 she practiced almost exclusively in the Connecticut Juvenile Courts, representing children and adults in the child protection and delinquency systems. Since 2012 her practice has focused on family law, custody issues as well as child protection.
In 2015 she was honored to be selected as a member of the Cheshire Juvenile Review Board. This board worked closely with the Cheshire Police Department and the Cheshire Human Services Department to address issues of juvenile crime. Her background in education and juvenile justice was particularly useful in working with the young people who came before this board.
Lynn is passionate about civil rights, juvenile justice, education and environmental issues. Her background in both law and education will be an asset to the town. She believes in fiscal responsibility on a personal and municipal level. In her spare time, Lynn teaches spin classes at Physique Plus, paddleboards whenever she has the opportunity, reads, plays scrabble, and can often be seen walking her rescue dog around town.
Lynn will work to:
- Support families and protect property taxes.
- Upgrade and support our schools.
- Increase our housing options.
- Grow the Cheshire Grand List.
- Listen to voters through regular conversations.
- Work in a bipartisan manner to improve Cheshire and protect our environment.

Jami Ferguson - Town Council At-Large
Jami is the owner/manager at Cheshire Craft Brewing and a Realtor at Caldwell Banker in Southington. Good people have worked tirelessly for years to solve one problem - how do we modernize our school buildings without crushing our taxpayers? As a Town Councilor, she will work to engage the community, ensure people are informed and trust the voters to make sound decisions on school referendums. She will take active steps to grow the grand list to keep taxes in check as we renovate and rebuild our obsolete schools and municipal buildings. She will work to maintain Cheshire's small town charm. We can build a robust tax base without big boxes and strip malls. Securing new business investment on the north side will make amenities affordable across Cheshire. Jami will work tirelessly to find new streams of revenue that will complement Cheshire.

Chuck Neth - Town Council At-Large
I grew up in western New York as the third child of a blue-collar, working class family. My parents instilled in me the values of hard work, self value and standing up for what is right. I moved to Cheshire in 2007 and despite a brief stay in the town next door, I have called Cheshire my home ever since. I am the father of three beautiful and bright young girls and a loving husband to my wife Lauren.
While I did not grow up in Cheshire, my wife was born and raised here and through her and her family I have met so many great residents of this town and as a Town Councilor, I will strive to meet many more. I believe strongly in people over politics; we do not have to agree on everything, but we must find common ground and build bridges from it.
As a professional engineer, I work every day to find simple solutions to complex problems. As your Town Councilor, I will take the same analytical, deliberate and results-oriented approach to the challenges facing the town of Cheshire while focusing wholly on the residents of our town, both young and old. Together, we will do great things.
