According to Internet reports, Stefanowski attended a birthday party for President Donald Trump's top economic advisor Larry Kudlow at his Connecticut home in Redding. Among the guests at the party was Peter Brimelow, and according to a story in the Washington Post, Brimelow promotes white-identity politics on his anti-immigration website Vdare.com.
On Wednesday, in a story in the Hartford Courant, Stefanowski said he doesn't know Brimlow and didn't know he was at the party.
“Bob Stefanowski refuses to talk about women's reproductive rights, sensible gun controls, same sex marriage and other critically important issues that make our state a great place to live and raise a family. But these new revelations are as shocking as they are disturbing, and Bob Stefanowski has hit a new low. He not only has a moral obligation to call out the bigotry of Larry Kudlow, he needs to apologize for being at this event himself. There are not ‘good people’ on ‘both sides’ of bigotry, there’s simply right and wrong.
“If you are silent in the face of racism, and if you refuse to stand up to white nationalists, you are furthering their grip on America. That is the choice we face in November. I will always stand for Connecticut values over Trump values.”
