Just as I did when I first heard of this, I once again condemn the attack on Dr. Petit.
I am equally appalled that Andy Falvey and his Hartford colleagues would use Dr. Petit as a political pawn in our local election.
Both Andy and the Republicans know I have nothing to do with that terrible ad, and they should be ashamed of themselves for using Dr. Petit and the horrific attack on his family to help his campaign to win votes.
It is reprehensible.
Neither Dr. Petit, nor the people of Cheshire deserve anyone politicizing such a horrible moment in our community's past.
I will not now, or ever stoop to engage in Andy Falvey's misleading attacks. This is another attempt designed to take voter's eyes off the ball - but residents are too smart for that.
Falvey doesn't give us enough credit.
Our Cheshire community knows that my job as a public servant is to work diligently for the people I represent as Town Councilor, and hopefully your State Representative.
It doesn't matter whether I am working to make sure social security income is exempt from state income tax, or filling the education-to-jobs pipeline so our local businesses can grow, or even simply creating programs which make our residents feel safer, I will not be distracted by these late-hour attacks which hold no merit. I can’t. We’ve got too much work to do, and it seems I’m the only one doing it.
