Cheshire Democratic Women’s Club
Celebrating 25 Years of Service to the Community
On behalf of the Cheshire Democratic Women’s Club (CDWC), I would like to personally invite you to become a member of this dynamic organization. The Club meets bi-monthly on the 2nd Saturday, at 10A.M., at the Cheshire Senior Center. Guest speakers are often part of our meetings to discuss current topics of interest.
The Club was founded with the following objectives:
• To support the principles of the Democratic Party and the election of the candidates of the Democratic Party;
• To encourage growth of an intelligent and conscientious electorate;
• To assume a full share of responsibility for good government;
• To work in full cooperation and maintain full communication with the Cheshire Democratic Town Committee and such organizations as are recognized by that body.
Our Old Bags spring luncheon on May 7th was a rousing success. We fulfilled our two-fold purpose: to honor our founding members and to raise funds for our annual scholarship, which is awarded to a student who is pursuing collegiate studies in Government, Political Science and/or Leadership Studies.
As the 2012 elections approach, we have an excellent opportunity to work to elect Democratic candidates who support Democratic Party principles. I encourage you to join CDWC as we play an important and active role in local, state, and national government. I’m sure you will experience, as I have, camaraderie, satisfaction, and fun collaborating with people who share common goals.
Sincerely,
Carol
